The XR70R'97 was a new model which had a 70cc engine but was an off road
bike (i.e., no headlight

mirrors, etc.). It was sold in 1997 and came in Shasta White. The serial number began
JH2DE020*VK000001.
The XR70R'98 was sold in 1998 and was similar to the 1997 model except the
fuel tank was
redesigned
to include a yellow "HONDA" wing logo. The serial number began
JH2DE020*WK100001.
The XR70R'02 was sold in 2002 in Red.
