(NU50I'82 in Iowa) Urban Express (sold in
1982) was very similar to the NA50. Two colors were available: Black
(with chrome and red stripes) and Monza Red (with chrome and black
stripes). The starting system used only a kick starter (unlike the Deluxe
model NU50M'82 described below). The engine was a 49cc 2-stroke single
cylinder lubricated by oil injection. It had an automatic transmission and
belt drive. Interestingly the U.S. sold two different models: one for the
state of Iowa and another for the rest of the states. The serial number for
the Iowa bikes began JH2AB1339CS000024 while the others began
JH2AB132XCS000010.
